Ages: 4 – 10
Pre-registration is encouraged.
Walk-In spots are not guaranteed.
Things to Know
Children will need to bring a sack lunch. Small snacks in the morning and afternoon will be provided. If your child has a food allergy feel free to provide a snack for them. Children need to wear tennis shoes or sandals with straps.
Let the kids hang out at Hy-Vee this summer! Kearney Hy-Vee’s Registered Dietitian, Kaiti George is hosting a kid’s camp for 4 days. Each Day will have a different theme of cooking, food experiments, nutrition lessons, and FUN!!!
Recommended Age Range: (5-10 years old).

Fitness Foods Do you know all the great, nutritious things that can be found in the grocery store? Now is your chance to explore! In this class we will talk about fueling your body with healthy foods so you can run faster, play harder and be stronger! The focus of this class will be on fruits and vegetables!
Tuesday, June 28th, 10:30a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
‘Sense’Sational Snacks In this class, we will create snacks that explore all of senses…sound, smell, touch and sight.
Wednesday, June 29th, 10:30a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Stars And Stripes. In this fun-packed class, we will explore many of the red, white and blue foods! We will create a few dishes that can be replicated at your 4th of July Bash!
Thursday, June 30th, 10:30a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Kitchen CSI. There has been a snack-time crime committed and we need to solve this mystery fast! In this kids’ camp, we will experiment with how different cooking methods and ingredients can change our favorite foods to a disaster of criminal proportions!
